Teacher Information:
This webquest is designed to be completed by students in grades three through five, over multiple days, with each student completing the webquest at his or her own pace. This can be completed in a computer lab type setting or in a classroom with at least one computer. If students will use personal devices, please keep in mind some of the videos may be 'Flash' based, so they may not display correctly on all devices.
Modification Ideas:
This webquest can be modified to best meet the needs of your class. While there are numerous ways to modify the activities in this webquest, here are a few suggestions.
- Students can complete this WebQuest in teams
- Teachers can share activities in a whole group setting and discuss what was learned, as a class.
- Note-taking taken can be adjusted depending on the needs of your students.
*Students can write down one fact from the entire page of activities, or
*Students can write down one (or more) facts from each activity completed on each Activity page.
- Two different note-taking Charts are provided below to use as needed. (Additional explanation below).
-You are also welcome to use other graphic organizers you feel would work best for your students.
