R ecognize others' work and ideas
(Activity #2)
What does it mean to recognize others' work and ideas?
When you use information, images, videos or anything you did not create yourself, you are required (by law) to give credit to the person who created it. Even if you use material for educational reasons, you are required to follow the copyright and fair use guidelines.
1. Copyright Law: What is Copyright?
It is not only important to give credit to the person who created certain works, but it is also the law. 'Copyright' protects the legal rights the creator of literary works, music, or artistic works have to reproduce, publish or sell their work. This means people who did not create the content may not use it without permission.
